Northwoods Family Physical Medicine strives to provide innovative services, through patient centered care, by challenging our employees to craft meaningful relationships, to foster trust, and to use health and education to inspire healing in our community.

Offering the most cutting-edge medical and minimally invasive therapies, Northwoods Family Physical Medicine is a Regenerative Medicine medical practice that helps people live more healthful, productive and active lives. With humble beginnings in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Northwoods is proud to offer these services in Wisconsin. Meet Our Staff

Dr. Danny Yarger, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Yarger is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and Peninsula Medical Center’s three-year residency in Family Practice. After graduation and residency in 2006, he practiced as the Emergency Physician, Chief of Staff, and Chief of Medicine in clinics of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Phyicians. Dr. Yarger continues to work in the Upper Peninsula as the Chief Medical Examiner of Iron County and the Emergency Physician at UP Health Portage. Under his guidance, Northwoods Family Physical Medicine has grown to the Regenerative Medicine practice in Green Bay. Dr. Yarger was a member of the United States Air Force prior to entering the medical field. Service to the community is one of his passions. He is an active member of the Masonic Lodge, a Shriner clown, and works with the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoys the outdoors and sporting events with his children.

Diana Hardy, PA-C, MPAS

Physician Assistant

As a Physician Assistant, Diana has had many different opportunities working with Internal Medicine/Cardiology, Primary and Urgent Care, Oncology, and Wound Care. Diana earned her undergraduate degree is in Biology from Texas A&M. She graduated from the University of Washington’s Physician Assistant Program Diana has always had a strong interest in integrative medicine and alternative approaches to health care amidst a traditional training, which has allowed her to see patient’s approaches from both sides. She has worked in integrated practices which involved acupuncture, nutrition, the use of stem cell allografts in wound care and other alternatives to joint pain. Diana has a broad range of procedural experience, and has been doing injectables for about ten years.

Theresa Bergner

Medical Assistant

Theresa attended Kaplan College for the Medical Assistant program in Renton, Washington. She has been a Medical Assistant for over 10 years. Theresa entered into the medical field because she has a love to help people. 

Theresa’s interest changed to alternative medicine and weight loss while working as a weight loss coach. She saw the biggest changes in her clients’ health and wanted to continue making those positive impacts in people’s lives.

In her spare time, Theresa spends time with her children, friends, and family and enjoys going to local music performances.

Kim Scarlassara

Clinic Director

I grew up in Crystal Falls, Michigan. I attended, and later graduated from, Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After working in this field, my husband, Tony, and I decided to focus on the healthcare needs in our community which still remains a top priority. In my free time you will find me cheering on my children at sports games and being an avid runner! I am pleased to be part of a great team of people helping the community to be healthier and happier.

Tony Scarlassara

Production Manager

I grew up in Crystal Falls, Michigan. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the United States Army. I then went on to graduate from Central Michigan University. Following the completion of my bachelor degree, I served in law enforcement in Marinette County. It was there that I learned about keeping your physical body healthyand decided to help keep the community healthy with my wife, Kim. Bow hunting is a passion of mine as well as spending time in the outdoors with my children.

Case Manager

I am married and have 3 children. As a family, we enjoy doing activities outdoors; everything from hiking and swimming to going for walks. I am very happy and proud to work with such a wonderful team who cares so much about the health of every single patient that walks through the door. It is my personal goal to make sure that each patient has the best experience in our office and leaves feeling better, with a big smile on their face!

Office Assistant

I am married with one daughter and we have lived in the Green Bay area for most of our lives. We enjoy camping and spending time with our family and friends. I will be the first person you see as you walk in the door, to help you get started on your journey to a healthier and happier life. I am proud to be working with such a great team that cares so much for each and every patient to help improve the quality of their life.

I was born and raised in Upper Michigan. I attended Northern Michigan University where I earned my bachelor degree. You’ll find my family and I exploring the outdoors of the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin. I am extremely lucky to have discovered the care at Northwoods Family Physical Medicine. It has helped me eliminate pain in my body from my head to toes! My job here is to show you how our office can help you to get your life back and start living pain-free!
